15 Ways to Lose Weight Forever (Series Summary)

As I mentioned previously, included in this post is a summary of my 15-tip series on how to lose weight forever.  This enables you to view them all in just one location; for greater detail, you can always revisit the original articles.  I would suggest printing the summary and re-reading individual articles as often as necessary.

I know that I’ve said this a lot since I first began Tips4BetterHealth.com just two months ago, but I’m going to bash diets at least one more time.  Please don’t look at anything I’ve written as endorsing or promoting a diet of any kind.  It’s just the opposite, actually.  They set you up for failure folks – you have got to think in terms of a lifestyle choice instead.  This means that you are changing your life and habits permanently, not just until you lose 20 or even 200 pounds.  You will be amazed at the difference this makes, both from a physical and from a mental standpoint.

My tips will work for any person on the planet no matter how overweight they are and how many “diets” they’ve tried.  That’s a pretty bold claim, but completely true never-the-less.  Anyone who says that they “can’t” lose weight has never embraced the lifestyle choice that I advocate, because you almost can’t help but lose weight.  I didn’t want or need to lose weight when I adopted my new lifestyle, but I lost it anyway!  Those are 15 incredibly powerful tips, let me tell you.

Now there are people who will find it harder to lose weight than others, but you simply cannot argue with this logic:  if you reduce your caloric intake enough, you WILL lose weight.  Here is another area where countless thousands of people also fail, because of the hell they endure by being hungry all the time.  Finally they just crumble and revert to their old ways.  This is another reason I hate diets.  No one wants to go through all of that misery, and no one should have to.  Perhaps you have suffered like this already.

Believe me, if you permanently and fully embrace the healthy lifestyle I recommend (eating & exercising), you will not only lose your excess weight, but you will live a healthier and longer life as well.  Sound too good to be true?  I’m not even done yet.  All of that and NO GOING HUNGRY.  There is absolutely no need to starve yourself, and anyone who suggests otherwise is lying or severely misinformed.  It’s important to eat regularly or your metabolism will start slowing down, fearing a short supply of food.  When you eat again, guess what?  Fat happens, that’s what.  You just have to eat the right kinds of food.

It’s not overly difficult folks, but changes will need to be made.  You’ve got to get out of your current comfort zone, the one filled with bad food and not enough activity, and get into a new and improved comfort zone.  Getting there is the hard part, but once you get settled in, life will be easy again.  So as promised, here is a summary of my 15 Ways to Lose Weight Forever:

1.    Reduce your saturated fat intake
2.    Eat out no more than once per week
3.    Make your meals from scratch
4.    Take control of the grocery shopping
5.    Clean out the cupboards and refrigerator
6.    Plan meals ahead of time
7.    Cut way back on red meat
8.    Eat only lean meats
9.    Switch to low-fat dairy products (gradually)
10.  Stay far away from vending machines
11.  Make healthy snack choices
12.  Reduce, reduce, reduce your sugar intake
13.  Be very careful with alcohol
14.  Change how you prepare your food
15.  EXERCISE!  (Especially if you splurge)
